Autodesk University 2018 - T Minus 10 Weeks (or so) and Counting

T minus 10 Weeks (or so) and Counting.... Autodesk University 2018, November 13-15 - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

The countdown is on....

Similar to last year, I wanted to post an update to my blog regarding the development of my classes (presentations) for Autodesk University this year. I am exited to have been selected to present two classes this year:
  • 6 Sheet Set Manager Strategies for Success
  • CAD Manager's Guide: Using Tool Palettes to Manage Standards and Configuration
This year I am also participating as a mentor in the Autodesk University Speaker Readiness Program. I looking forward to working with my assigned mentees over the next two months!

Regarding a status update on my class presentations for this year:

6 Sheet Set Manager Strategies for Success
  • Class Time: Tuesday, November 13th - 8:00am til 9:00pm
  • Class Link: CLICK HERE
  • Enrollment: 50% full as of today (September 5th)
  • Status: 30% complete
  • Current Tasks: Demonstration components, workflows and summaries for each of the 6 strategies regarding SSM (Sheet Set Manager)
  • Courseware: PowerPoint at 40%, Handout at 25% completion
CAD Managers Guide: Using Tool Palettes to Manage Standards and Configuration
  • Class Time: Wednesday, November 14th - 9:15am til 10:15am
  • Class Link: CLICK HERE
  • Enrollment: 90% full as of today (September 5th)
  • Status: 90% complete
  • Current Tasks: Tool Palette demonstration aspects
  • Courseware: PowerPoint at 95%, Handout at 100% completion
My plan over the next few weeks is to continue class developments and to focus on the "live" demonstration aspects of my presentations. Last year (AU2017) I ran short on time and was unable to present all demos completely; something I want to ensure does not occur this year. Both of my AU2018 presentations are in the class format "Instructional Demo" so there will be a portion of live (and pre-recorded segments, as required) demonstrations during each class. I feel this class format is very beneficial to the audience to not only keep them engaged during the presentation but to also provide a technical display of the components and entities being discussed during each presentation.

Getting excited for Autodesk University 2018!!!  See you all there and an early thank you to all those that have chosen my classes as part of their AU schedule!!!

See you all in Las Vegas in November!!!!
